 学习四念处止观法门与禅宗法门有感

自从接触禅修 (Meditation),末学只很浅薄接触到或过这两个基本禅修法门而已。就是南传缅甸式腹部上下止观呼吸性的内观禅,和充满中文文化的禅宗参禅法门,也就是叫着看话参禅,或也可以叫看话禅或参话头,但是正式就叫着看话参禅。
当初接触四念处内观禅,只是纯碎为了清静身心而已,所以当时当地当环境因缘下,大概是三十多岁,只知道要打坐或静坐而已,来调整平横身心著力点 (relaxation)。其实最初接触的静坐就是 Transcendental Meditation)。但是必须要不断念着一个指定的印度咒语,觉得很难适应或明白道理。所以不久就放弃了。
那时侯接触四念处内观禅,一方面也是出于好奇和兴趣,同时经过一般佛教团体的因缘下而切入罢了,当时也是我的人生情绪最低落的时候了。自个儿成家立业以来,家人都信仰三合一的所谓儒、道、佛的宗教观念。自已父母从大陆海南省中原小镇是湃天地和祖先为主。
当时当地当环境之下,只会单纯盲目/信心跟着禅师的教导方法接触观呼吸而已。呼吸没有了就观身体的接触点。然后再回头观腹部上下而已,这样重恢复的练习/锻炼。分秒时刻必须要有警觉心存在。就这样子开始了解/体会一点点心经讲述的皮毛东西。那时身心无常现象相当明显,因为这个当下身体既然会慢慢渐渐由下而上消失掉的现象出现在心眼前。 很可怕恐怖呢!有时候人好像不见掉了呢!身触受感后才觉知的慢慢渐渐恢复起来。接触没几年后一家五口因缘关系搬来新加坡定居下来了。因为没有因缘的共修力量,所以不知觉就这样慢下来了。这个方法以启发八正道的正念为主因,五根必须平衡。精进根和定根是一组,另外一组是智慧根和信根。 精进根和定根可以启发正念,正念可已增强智慧根,智慧根自然加强信或信心根了。
转眼来新加坡已经二十多年多了。五年前因缘下在唯一可以相信的新加坡道场光明山,接触充满中华文化禅宗法门,但是也因为开始有点字面上的误解(看话),误解怎么话是拿来看而非听的呢?因为自已刚好是听觉问题的关系。至于什么参禅那时还不懂得是什么呢!加上想弄明白一点中华文化的精华和教法,另者想弄清楚什么是北传佛教或佛法,而好奇下攀个善缘无所谓吧,听一听试一试看个如何情状罢了也没关系。听了几次禅师开示/讲述,还是无懂不明白,重点还是听不清楚罢了。 但是参加过第一次禅七,深深觉得更好奇呢!所以兴趣突然间启发开来了。短短几个月一连参加几个禅七。接着第二年接触到那个话头先行的妙用,很容易入定出定境,当下年尾决定往台湾百丈山一口气打三七呢!真想不到就这样子开始认识/肯定北传佛教或北传佛法的了。
后来从最基本认识的简单心经,慢慢加上一部金刚经,渐渐开始认识一点点其他皮毛的经典了,固然是普通白话的讲述或开示了。但是经典太多也难去读看,只能走马看花这里看看那里读读而已,尽量收集相应的资料作为参考作用。
同时也真好这个时候切进入夕阳黄昏时节,体力开始渐渐走下坡了,不如往年那么壮好,所以开始非得慢下来不可了。赶路也没办法了,只有随顺因缘了罢。

This is how you start to understand / experience a little bit of the fur stuff that is told. At that time, the physical and mental impermanence was quite obvious, because the phenomenon of the present body would gradually disappear from the bottom to the top of the mind. It's scary! Sometimes people seem to be missing! The perception of the body after the feeling of touch is gradually recovered. A few years after the contact, a family of five moved to Singapore to settle down. Because there is no co-repair power of cause, the unconscious slows down like this. This method is the main cause of the positive thought that inspired the Eight Path, and the five must be balanced. The elaborate roots and ding roots are one group, and the other is the wisdom root and the signal root. The elaborate roots and the root can enlighten the positive thought, but the root of wisdom has strengthened the root of faith or confidence.
It's been more than two decades since I came to Singapore. Five years ago, under the only trusted Singapore Dojo Guangshan, contacted with the Zen of Chinese culture, but also because there started to be a bit of a literal misunderstanding (read words), how could the misunderstanding be taken to see rather than listen? ? Because it happens to be the relationship of hearing problems. As for what pilgrimage didn't know what it was at that time! Additionally, if you want to understand a little bit of the essence of Chinese culture and the law of the teachings, others want to figure out what is Buddhism or Dharma in the North, and it doesn't matter if you are curious about how good it is. It doesn't matter if you listen to it and see After listening to a few times the Zen Master's show / talk, still don't understand, the point is still not clear. However, I have attended the first time in the th time, and I am deeply curious! So the interest was suddenly inspired. Participating in a few short months in a row in a row. Then the next year, when I was exposed to the good use of the word, it was easy to set up a boundary, and at the end of the year, I decided to go to Baekjo Mountain, Taiwan for a breath of I can't believe that this is how I started to know / affirm Buddhism or Buddhism in the North.
Later, from the most basic knowledge of the simple heart of the heart, slowly add a diamond sutra, gradually began to know a little bit of other fur classics, of course it was a common white language narrative or open. However, too many classics are difficult to read, only to walk and see flowers here and read there, try to collect the corresponding data as a reference.
At the same time, it's really good to cut into the sunset and dusk, my physical strength started to go downhill gradually, not as strong as previous years, so I had to slow down. There is no way to hurry, only to follow the cause.

My first visit at NKF PA&R training department on 16th September 2016

 Back-to-School-Lifelong learning-A gateway for a healthier & enriching life-journey ~ 16th September 2016

Dear Job & Sri of NKF PA&R department, good morning friends! I truly appreciate with much thanks for your initiative & kindness to invite me for a very friendly & relaxing with warmest chatting at your office yesterday. As a hearing impair person as well as NKF patient I am honestly being too slow in picking up things or stuffs especially I have to put great effort to concentrate & read people lips' services & body languages ​​even with hearing aids on as my hearing sense or organ totally deaf without them. This is my weakest point of all & that is why people always misunderstand me at times during normal face to face conversation due to my invisible illness of being disadvantage that quite often people around me may simply take things for granted in the fast lane of our common express-way in our daily living lives today! So sorry if I missed out some our mutual to & fro conversation, if any then! I am very impressed with interest at about the class-room shown by Mr. Sri in your department by the way. I thought this is the spot I had been looking for which is also accompanying with a readily dialysis centre next door for a fresh or new recruitment NKF patients, either for familiarization purpose or training purpose which may also inclusive those having early chronic kidney disease patients meaning before their kidney totally failure in order to start up or begin with in their respective long term educational culture &value which I had dearly missed out for the past 20 months in NKF as well as earlier stages of my Chronic Kidney Disease CKD during my earlier stage of caregiver by SGH for nearly over 10 years simply not knowing about my level of creatinine etc officially until 2014 which was a great shock to my family & I though this is history already. As I said yesterday that there was simply a gap between the earlier renal doctor at SGH & the patient like my case as I had long given my body to medical research ever since my family & I landed Singapore over 20 years ago. I did not even know about there is 5 stages of kidney malfunctioning or failure procedures to take health-care of or with. I won't like to repeat similar way or path in NKF system again of course in different mannerism as per my arm AV Graft experience &condition lately as I am going for balloon & or angioplasty at SGH on 22nd Nov next week. I am impressed that you have actually begun your program at the central zone with those 2 new less than a year patients Mr Sam & the other friend that I met yesterday perhaps plus a few more according to them. I consider this is a fruitful visit to your Patient Advocacy & Rehabilitation Department in fact. Please kindly be informed that I had also since then requested our Yishun DC1 nurse manager Minimol & our North Zone patient advocate leader Ms Rena Goh to make sure to enroll me & remind me any training talk, lecture or course provided by NKF since beginning of this year. To be frank, I am already slow in learning due to my personal hearing impair &now it is yet again slower for me as a NKF patient to catch up what I had left behind! Please let me know if you need some kind of personal requirement to qualify for enrollment if any or necessary. It is better late than never, dearest friends! As such I am serious enough to really looking forward to go back to the school once again! 何謂緣起?

常見與斷見是依緣起法則而安立

法友來函表示對勝鬘經所言:「見諸行無常,是斷見,非正見。見涅槃常,是常見,非正見。妄想見故,作如是見。」感到不解,想瞭解安平的意解如何?

對此安平當下的回應是:有關法友的提問是個很複雜的議題,因涉及了佛法真常、唯識、性空三大體系,且各自的論述與立基點不同,所以彼此總會給人有衝突與矛盾的疑惑,而且並非三言兩語就能說明的,安平將專文回覆。

其實法友所碰到的問題也是多數修學佛法者必然會面臨的難題,因從表面上看問題就只是常見與斷見的判別而已,但一旦深入探究時就會發現其常或斷的立論背後是渉及真常、唯識、性空三大體系的思想與哲理,而且文字語言所能表達的意涵又有其先天的極限,所以就很難用三言兩語說明清楚。又,每個人的基本認知不同依文字語言導引的結論就會有很大的差異。

例如,有人的基本認知就是「假必依實」才能成立緣起論,否則就是「無因論」,所以追根究底必然要有一真實的如來藏心或阿賴耶識的存在才能成立一切森羅萬象的緣起。但也有人則認為不必然須要有真實存在的心或識才能成立緣起的現象,只要因緣具足和合一樣能有森羅萬象的呈現,因為任何的「存在」必然有其緣起的因與緣,只是不為人知而已,也就是說沒有任何事物是可以「獨存」的。那麽究竟何者正確呢?歷經千年來的諍論也沒有結果,依舊是各信各的,各自說了算。

那修學佛法的行者應如何抉擇呢?其實也不難,首先要確認的是世尊所宣說的佛法是為解決人們老病死純大苦聚的問題,並不是為解說宇宙萬事萬物的本質或起源,而緣起論是世尊觀察「苦生滅現象」而發現的法則。換句話世尊所宣說的原始佛法僅僅是「現象論」而非「本體論」,而且只要能知、見「苦的緣起現象」就能具足「苦集滅道」的智慧進而滅苦、止息苦的輪迴了。至於中後期佛法所探討的「本體論」究竟何者正確?並不會妨礙苦現象的緣起,所以也不會妨礙行者滅苦的修行了。

那麽問題就又回到行者修學佛法的目的為何?是單純的自己滅苦、助人滅苦?還是要成為無所不知、無所不能的佛菩薩?這些基本的問題若先能釐清修行就不會陷入哲理思辯及文字語言的迷障中了。

再回到法友常、斷見的疑問上,其實佛法所謂的常見或斷見都是相對「此有故彼有,此生故彼生;此無故彼無,此滅故彼滅。」緣起現象而立論的。也就是說違背或昧於緣起現象才會落入常見或斷見。換句話說若沒有違背或昧於緣起現象就沒有常見或斷見的問題了,而違背或昧於緣起現象就會有「執取」,而且無論是常見或斷見其本質都是源於「執取」。

而勝鬘經「見諸行無常,是斷見,非正見」是指行者執取「無常」所以落入如人死燈滅的斷見,「見涅槃常,是常見,非正見」則是指執取「涅槃」為永恆常住不滅的所以落入常見,其實勝鬘經的立論基礎雖為真常系,但經文的本意仍是在「破執」,所以經文再指出是因「妄想見故,作如是見」。因為在實質上「一切無常」也只是就「現象」一直是依此故彼因緣生滅變化的描述而已,所以否定見「現象」無常之後的斷滅。同時「涅槃」也只是在描述貪瞋癡的止息而已,用以破除執取「涅槃」為永恆不變的常見。

如前述文字語言所能表達的意涵又有其先天的極限,這是指文字語言是立基於人們共通的經驗與認知上才能傳達其意涵,但實際的修証常是「意在言外」,所以表達時常有隨立隨破的情形。如金剛經「如來說:一切諸相,即是非相。又說:一切眾生,即非眾生。」;「莊嚴佛土者,即非莊嚴,是名莊嚴。」,般若心經:「無無明。亦無無明盡。乃至無老死。亦無老死盡。無苦集滅道。無智亦無得。以無所得故。菩提薩埵。」。所以修行常強調要「依義不依語」。以上簡覆,提供法友參考。安平2021/11/11
